Marcela shares the Arab recipes that have shaped her family for generations. The daughter of Syrian immigrants in Venezuela, she learned that cooking is a way to preserve culture and express love. No previous experience in Arabic cuisine, or cooking in general, is required.Each recipe includes at least one full-page photo of the finished dish or key preparation steps.This recipe book is an invitation to cook for your loved ones, just as Marcela’s mother cooked for her and her siblings. It is her hope that these recipes spark your curiosity and open the door to the warmth, flavor, and tradition of Arabic food.Marcela also has a YouTube channel, “Cocinando con Marcela Moukel,” which serves as a companion to this book and features videos recorded in her home in Venezuela for some of the recipes.
